Mario Navarro, Head Golf Professional

Mario Navarro, a native of Juarez, Mexico who has worked at some of the finest golf facilities in Latin America, serves as head golf pro at Rancho San Lucas Golf Club.
“I´m thrilled to be back in Cabo working at such a wonderful resort and residential development that provides so much to its owners and guests,” Navarro said. “The Greg Norman Signature course offers excellent playability and strategic nuances for all types of golfers.”
A fine competitive golfer, Navarro won several prestigious tournaments on the Mexican amateur circuit. As a professional, he has worked in golf operations for 18 years throughout Latin America, including stints at two Los Cabos facilities: Cabo del Sol, a landmark 36-hole complex; and Querencia, an exclusive private club.
Previously, Navarro worked at La Reunion Golf Resort in Guatemala, which hosted a PGA Tour Latinoamerica tournament for five years. A first-class instructor, he also was named the national golf coach for Guatemala and worked with the team for one year.
“I´m happy to be working with director of golf Brad Wheatley to create a premier golf operation that gives our golfers a fun, challenging and memorable experience,” Navarro enthused. “The incredible dune-and-desert setting of the golf course exposes players to three different ecosystems. In addition, the handsome hacienda-style clubhouse delivers a special taste of Mexican culture that’s unique to Baja California Sur.”
